is a UK based company that develops new biotechnology
products for the oil and gas industry.
The company’s
first product that has been sold commercially for over 3
years is ArcasolveTM.
ArcasolveTM
is a delayed release acidizing treatment for underground
reservoirs (oil, gas or water). It can be used for
general acidizing, “mud” removal, or in combination with
fracturing treatments.
Delayed release
acid generation has enormous benefits over standard acid
treatments. Pumping the treatment at neutral pH means
that environmentally unfriendly corrosion inhibitors are
not needed. It also means that the well can be filled
and pressurized with neutral pH fluid that will only
generate acid at a later time after it has been forced
into the small cracks and fissures where treatment is
really needed. Generation of acid can be chosen to
start at any time period between 2 and 48 hours,
depending on the specific requirements.
Over one hundred
wells have been treated with outstanding results
(improved yields and productivity following treatment).
